Have you ever wanted to prove an IoT application or concept but the high cost of developing just a handful of purpose built sensor modules has been a barrier to proceeding? Cyplex has solved that problem with its new TOC wireless IoT sensor module “proof of concept” hardware platform.
Housed in a submersible grade IP68 enclosure and powered by two internal AA high capacity batteries the TOC sensor module provides digital, analogue I/O and serial ports for connection to a wide range of industrial sensors, actuators and smart serial devices. The TOC sensor modules support Edge processing, data logging, logical triggers and two reporting schedules so that autonomous monitoring and control can be realised.
With internal sensors for temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, GPS, pitch and roll, the TOC can be used straight out of the box for applications such as tracking, movement, position, impact and environmental conditions.
The TOC aggressively harvests power from its optional integrated solar label or a small external solar panel, thermopile, fixed DC, USB and 4-20mA loop supplies, to provide perpetual mission life.
By intelligently controlling its 3, 6 and 12 volt sensor power supply, suitable sensors can be powered by the TOC simplifying and reducing installation costs and making it ideal for retrofitting to existing sensors and assets.
Internal or external LPWAN antenna options are available and for difficult network shadow areas. The TOC features a selectable 5db gain transmission signal boost.
After proving your concept further cost reductions can be achieved by tailoring the design of the TOC to meet your application’s exact requirements and optimising the design for volume production.
